Caring Kids
We recently had a recycling contest among all 4th graders in the Spencer-Owen School District. I am proud to say that the 4th graders in our community raised WELL OVER
1 ton of papers!! The winning class will get a pizza party from the President of our Board of Directors. And the winners are................................................................
Mrs. LaGranges 4th grade class at Spencer Elementary with a total of over 3000 pounds!!!!!! Thank you for the great job you all did!
So many kids did a great job helping us fill up our recycling trailer though, so we can't just leave them empty handed either! ALL 4th grade classes that participated will receive an ice cream social!!
The 4th graders in Mrs Sclights class at Patricksburg have outdone themselves again! They took it upon themselves to sponsor a change drive among all the classes at Patricksburg. The winning class is getting a pizza party paid for by Mrs. Sclights class. The winners are the KINDERGARTNERS!! Great job everybody!!! We will find out Friday April 9th what the total amount raised for the school is!
I think our community here in Owen County should be very proud of the kids in our elementary schools! They have done a wonderful job of supporting the Humane Society! In particular, Mrs. Sclights 4th graders have been raising money and toys and such for us since well before Christmas! We just cant say thank you enough to these kids and we hope they realize just how proud and appreciative of them we are!!
