Spay and Neuter
Having your pet fixed is NOT a bad thing!! So many people believe that a pet will become obese, change behavior and many other things after surgery, but this is simply not the case.
Many people ask if the Shelter can help defray the cost of spay/neuter for their pets, and we are pleased to annonuce that,

Thanks to the folks at PetSmart Charities, we are able to help low income Owen County Residents get their beloved pets fixed for minimal costs. Those who make less than $27,500 a year are able to receive assistance. The cost for spay/neuter will be around $12. Rabies shots are mandatory if your pet has not had one. The shot will be $8. Call the Shelter for more info or stop by and fill out an application.
All animals will be spayed/neuterd at the PetsAlive Clinic in Bloomington. They are a low cost, high quality spay/neuter clinic serving all of southcentral Indiana.
